Littorina saxatalis, the rough periwinkle, is a species of small sea snail native to the Atlantic ocean. It is found along the coasts of the north Atlantic ocean, and in the Mediterranean sea. They live in salt marshes, crevices of intertidal bedrock, empty barnacle shells, and under rocks. They can survive long exposures out of water.
