As of early 2018, 67 species of Odonata have officially been recorded in Fundy National Park (i.e with an identifiable image or specimen). Another two species have been recorded as sight records only. There are likely at least 75 species here, perhaps as many as 90, given the mix of freshwater habitats present in the park. This guide highlights 77 species, 69 of which have been spotted in the park and another eight which are very likely here. This guide is intended to be an aid to identify them. It also offers some fascinating insights into their behaviour and natural history. You can help us get a better understanding of their abundance and occurrence here. Please submit your records of any Odonata seen in the park to the Fundy National Park project at:

If you do, who knows? You might even add a species to the park list! Your contribution is appreciated and will certainly help us better understand these fascinating critters. Thanks for your interest and Happy Trails!
