This caterpillar is about 6 cm long and about 1.2 cm in diameter. This one has been injured and its internal organs appear to be protruding from the back end. It was observed under a large white pine.

This was on the two rivers Trail at the lookout. There were birds everywhere on this day mid morning, I really didn’t move from one spot.
