I found this plant near the base of a tree. I believe that this is a poison sumac, which falls with poison ivy and poison oak. It was 4:26pm and 81 degrees Fahrenheit. The plant stood about 12 inches tall and had 3 branches in total.

Description

I found a colony of ants located under the steps of a walkway on the trail. From viewing these ants and looking at pictures, I came up with little black ants. This photo was taken at 4:21pm and the temperature was 81 degrees Fahrenheit. The ant was 2 centimeters in length with a width of half a centimeter. If anyone knows the exact species of ant, please comment below! Thank you.
