Observed on April 16th at 2:45 P. M. The temperature during this time was 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The flowering Dogwood stood at 6 1/2 feet tall, where the tree's overall branch span was 11 feet. This was due to the branches reaching out for sunlight, since it is located under taller trees. The blossoms varied in size but on average they were 3 inches in width. The tree was found along a wooded area, in Jetersville VA.

Zebra Swallowtail (Eurytides marcellus)Observer

Observed on April 16th at 1:15 P.M. The temperature during this time was 67 degrees Fahrenheit, the weather was sunny with a slight breeze coming from the South East. The Zebra Swallowtail was found gathering nectar from blossoms upon a dwarf Golden Delicious apple tree. Appears to be very young, the size of the Zebra Swallowtail was roughly 2 1/2 inches "wingspan".
