This Riffle Snaketail was found emerging from Wolfe Lake during an outing with a group during the Nature New Brunswick Annual General Meeting. Three associated teneral individuals were found. The exuviae were all collected and one adult was picked up to photograph it in controlled conditions. To my knowledge, this is the first time Riffle Snaketails have been noted emerging in a lake, as this is, as its name suggests, a species of faster flowing streams with riffles. Wolfe Lake has a dam at the far end of it, out of which flows a stream.
