Description
There are 2 snakes pictured- one is a striped San Diego Kingsnake, the other (banded) appears to be a desert Kingsnake, which is subject to debate it appears. Both were seen crossing a road together - they ended up under a shrub where I handgrabbed both simultaneously. They were not copulating when I grabbed them, but may have been prior to me picking them up. This is the 2nd obs of what appears to be an introduced desert kingsnake at Cabrillo National Monument.

Description
I am assuming this is L. berlandieri and not yavapaiensis. Found at a geothermal spring.
