Spécimen capturé le matin même aux alentours des Iles Mingan, à un endroit imprécisé. Observé à la poissonnerie locale (Havre Saint-Pierre). Présente une anomalie de dominance du pigment bleu (crustacyanin) par rapport au pigment normal qui est rouge (astaxanthine). Phénomène qui arrive à un individu sur 4 millions en moyenne.
