Grande femelle Timon lepidus !
Il existait, dans une population près de Béziers bientôt éteinte, une rémanence de ce type de robe (grands individus légèrement amélaniques, très verts voir jaunes en juillet, pourvus d'ocelles bleus très réduits). Pas d'hybridation connue entre Timon pater, Timon tangitanus et Timon marocanus avec Timon lepidus. De même, pas de zone 'de floutage' et de contact entre ces populations et T. lepidus... Confusion impossible avec T. pater (beaucoup plus petit, gorge bien jaune, ocelles dorso-laterales alignés.

This observation corresponds to the rediscovery of the LE system in this area.
Two populations of P. esculentus and P. lessonae found only in two small ponds in the south of Gresivaudan. Observations made in this area in the 1990s suggest they are relictual rather than imported.
