Plants terrestrial, growing in a seasonally wet swale. Leaves up to 4 cm, bright green, pale toward base, pliant, gradually tapering to tip. Rootstock nearly globose, 3-lobed in the largest plants. Velum covering approximately 75% of the sporangium. Megaspores white, 280--320 μm in diameter, spinulose with a spinulose equatorial ridge; girdle obscure.

Very pink compared to the orange species in same vicinity. Definitely different species.
