Flowering 14 months after Bega Swamp (montane bog at 1090m elevation) was burnt in Jan 2020. There was a lot of this species around post-fire, colonising bare wet ground. Not much was flowering, but this seems typical, as I have rarely found it in flower.

Shield Sundew (Drosera peltata)Observer

Looks like Drosera peltata s. str., growing with D. auriculata (pink flowered) in a seepage area within forest. The whole area burnt at high intensity in Jan 2020 and is now a carpet of flowers, with all those pesky shrubs temporarily removed. The substrate is gravelly infertile soil derived from some sort of granitic rock, adamellite maybe. The seepage area is currently moderately wet due to good rain recently, but would quite often be dry for long periods.
