Cap 9.7 (barely open) - 15.5 cm (nearly flat) across. Gray-brown fibrils on cap. Stipe 19 cm long, 2.3 - 3 cm thick, bulbous base 4.5 cm thick. Phenolic odor. KOH pale yellow on all parts.
