White Rock lake, Winfrey Point
Female
The female has a shorter tail but it is still split in a V when flying. Juveniles will have a shorter tail too but not all the colors.

Photo 2:
I Think I Got A Little Too Close
This female scissor-tail didn't seem to pleased I was inching closer to her. This look stopped me in my tracks and I slowly backed away, after getting the shot of course.

This is an interesting one. Spotted on a cruise ship which previously sailed to Montego Bay (Jamaica), Grand Cayman, and Cozumel (Mexico). Pretty sizable, probably too large to be a warbler. Very easy to approach as it didn't seem in condition to fly. This may be a first texas record for all I know.
