Habitat 3

Dense tall shrubs at the edges of forests and small openings. Nests on the ground.

Distribution 3

Yukon: Restricted to the southeast; the La Biche and Beaver rivers, and Larsen Creek area.
North America: Breeds across the southern boreal zone from northeastern BC and southern N.W.T to Newfoundland, and acArorscstic Ocean the northeastern USA from North Dakota to West Virginia.
Global: Winters from southern Nicaragua to eastern Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.

Distinguishing Features 3

Difficult to distinguish from MacGillivray’s Warbler, although ranges do not generally overlap. Lacks the distinct, broken eye ring of MacGillivray’s Warblers. Often best identi ed by its distinctive song, which is a series of rolling notes, usually lower at the end: “chirry, chirry, chirry, chorry, chorry.”
