Yukon: Southeastern Yukon; known only from LaBiche and Beaver rivers
North America: Yukon to Newfoundland throughout the boreal zone, Alaska, northeastern United States
World: Circumboreal

Distinguishing Features 3

The spores are not produced on the back of the leaves, but on a separate frond, only the tiny rockbrake ferns, Cryptogramma spp. share this feature.
