Soft parts: white
Similar species/lookalikes: Most similar with Fusconaia flava, with which it is most often confused. In F. flava the beaks are situated closer to mid-shell, and the posterior ventral edge is usually concave in mature specimens, more rarely straight. Nacre in F. flava is usually white, more rarely with a salmon tinge, and periostracum is paler brown.
