chris-lambkin's Identifications

A bit of an oddity this one.

1. Small, ~8mm long, ~14mm natural wingspan
2. Pale wing "shoulders" (villini like)
3. Black (anthrax like), but a thin white abdominal band.
4. Wings don't have solid black colour like most anthrax, but have some spots.
5. Almost looks like a blade-like ovi-positor, reminiscent of fruit flies, but wing venation is quite wrong of course.

My id is tentative, only based on it's black colouring. If it was much browner, I would have gone with Villini.

Was very flighty once it woke up, so didn't get any good profile shots.
