19 July 2014: Observed a Blotched Water Snake (Nerodia erythrogaster transversa) at Avondale Park in Denton, Texas. The water snake was positioned underneath the Nottingham Drive bridge after some summer rains brought a bit of current to the small spillway underneath and with it morsels of live food for the foraging Blotched Water Snake.
