One of a pair working rubyspots on the lower Sydenham River.
Found earlier by Rob T. with myself and Darrell P., I returned for a recheck. This may be the same individual photographed earlier as I only found one.
Not much of a shot but they started to disappear after we arrived. There were about 4 to begin with, cruising a flooded bean field that is quickly draining.
A noisy Whip-poor-will in bgd.
All I could get on it before it took off! Possibly Midland.
same spot as one photo'd yesterday
I believe this is black bear scat
A black bear has been reported in the area throughout the summer (Ipperwash, Grand Bend, Port Franks)
