Barn swallow
Bird with spotted or striped back, rufous back of head, striped face like a nuthatch, and equally able to forage upright and upsidedown.
With Don Fraser; a one-hour walk along with first quarter-mile or so of Lust Road (to the west end of the lake to the north); my first visit in a couple years. The weather at the start was sunny and 55 degrees, and with a light breeze. We left at 1223, as Don needed to be home by 1530.
There were about 60 sheltering with Sandwich and Royal Terns as well as Laughing Gulls. I could see no tags in photographs
