Description

Mullein growing in shrub-step landscape amongst dry grasses with several other mullein nearby. Height around 1.6 metres with the upper part in fruit and lower down yellow flowers were forming in clusters above each leaf. Leaves entire, sessile, around 7-30cm. Both stem and leaves are tomentose, leaves having dense hairs on both sides and pinnate venation.
Flowers having 5 yellow petals and light green sepals with dense hairs inside corolla.

Description

Plant growing near mountainous trailside in compact, dry soils. Stems have pubescent hairs while leaves are pubescent to tomentose on underside, appearing white. Leaves are alternate, decussate on stem, with lanceolate shape. Margins of leaves are curled.
Flowers appear in clusters with many white petal-like bracts. Bracts are very dry to touch. Inner flowers disc-like and yellow-brown.

Description

Flowers growing along the roadside in moist soils. Stem appears glabrous with leaves appearing both simple and compound. Leaves are linear with an acute tip. Fruits appear on above the leaves on the stem and are silicles ~3mm wide and are pointed at the tip. Flowers appear above seeds with 4 white petals and 4 sepals. Flowers are actinomorphic and fragrant.

Description

Dalmatian toadflax plant found to be around 0.5 metres tall, growing straight upright. Flowers are yellow, contain a short hypanthium, 5 sepals, and a long spur petal on the underside. The inside is tinged orange and has a hirsute texture.
Leaves thick and rubbery, alternate, and cordate, clasping the stem.
