Mother ‘Yin’ and her son. Three other orca, including another son, were also present but were away from these members.
It’s not too often that you come across an orca on its own but when you do, it’s most often a male.
This was a nice way to spend the last evening of 2020.
At low tide in this spot, you are standing on mud and sand. The tide will be out up to 300m in this spot so there is not a lot of water that they’re swimming in…even at high tide as per this photo.
Reports of these guys come every year. Sadly, I haven’t seen them too often..
