My first black-throated gray warbler for the year on campus.
Just 15 minutes before Suzanne (one of the nice folks who live by this park) had told us she’d heard a myrtle warbler in their yard recently, and then Gretchen spotted an odd looking yellow-rump on the park grass and I was excited to see it was a male myrtle! Dark face mask, pointed white throat corners, white eyebrow— looks good to me. Talk about serendipity.
