What

Shining Karamu Coprosma lucida

Date

July 27, 2020 03:29 PM NZST

Description

I began making this observaton thinking it was of C. macrocarpa subsp minor, looking at a wavy leaf at the top of a stem, with robusta and lucida right beside it. After photographing several parts of one stem and proceeding to the base I saw that all the leaves were on the same plant, branched at base into three stems.

Some are definitely lucida, at least based on my knowledge so far. I only had my phone and didn't get a close up of a stipule. I left all these photos in the observation because of the varying leaf shapes, some wavy, some flat.

The stems look lucida-like and I think the mid-rib is right for lucida in at least some of the leaves shown.
