Found feeding on young, ornamental white spruce (Picea glauca) and blue spruce (Picea pungens). Also numerous larval skins left on twigs.
Chomp chomp. Larval skins everywhere. This was the only larva I found. The rest must have already dropped to the ground to pupate.

Length was no more than 4 cm. On Pine (genus Pinus).

Galls on Quercus robur. The tree is cultivated, but the gall wasps are not. 13th Street near Oak, Corvallis, Oregon.
