Ground Spiders (Family Gnaphosidae)

Observer

Date

Description

Small spider, with all legs splayed out it was maybe the size of a dime. Encountered indoors— fled under a piece of furniture. I saw no visible web, but it might just be that I missed it.

iNat suggests grass spider genera Gnaphosa and Drassodes. Wasn't able to get a clearer photo before it was gone so I'm doubtful it can be ID'd to species, but maybe to a lower taxon.
