Today, we went into the forest for an extended walk. We stopped at a few places to collect some data. Locations of these observations approximate, and ID's lacking -- got some work to do!

M shaped marks on abdomen, banded legs. This one was hiding under a large palm bract that had fallen to the ground, just a meter or so from the edge of the Monte Redondo lagoon.

Description

Very similar to this report ID'd as D. albilineus https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/6301568. This spider was found on a river bed, close to water. Photographed on a large seed pod of an Enterolobium cyclocarpum tree. The last photo shows my thumb as a size reference.

My first observation of this species so far this year (despite nearly weekly visits to this location). Just one web observed. There was this large female and in the same web, a small male.
