This one and following record of red/black striped one kept landing on our window screen, and at least one kept poking its ovipositer thru the screen, like it wanted to lay eggs inside the window screen. Saw them a couple different times that day.
D. lurida? pugionata? something else? On a wild persimmon leaf, which is understory to oak-hickory trees. Unfortunately it was very windy, and I tried my best in manual focus to photograph it as branch waved around. Same persimmon tree (almost same branch) and same windy conditions as the A. fuscipennis observation
Possibly Chrysobothris femorata?
