turbidity

I found out that the best way to reduce fine clay turbidity is to blow air across the surface. Can't say why this works but I stand by the experimental evidence

Stimulus

I noticed that when insects are placed in mesosoma, specifically fruitflies, the spadefoots show increased activity, AEB increased gravel sounds. mostly only when it is night, with a temp above 80.(from heat lamp). Also, pure speculation. Wondering if increased frog deformities come from different species in the same pond

amplexus

found the spadefoots in amplexus. The female clearly had no eggs and was being hassled by the larger male. made me wonder if the common method of big males in the pool and satellite males at the edge is designed to force the females to find a larger "protector" male who can keep the others away so she doesn't drown. she has to run the gambit to reach food and safety from her own species? Curious how you'd set up this experimentally.
