I've always been a bit unsettled with birds like this... Could Iceland x Herring Gulls occur rarely & look like this??? Structurally different than other HERG --- but the long thin bill look seems to be matched by many Vega

High overcast + blacklit makes the photos look a bit contasty --- but well studied in scope (and over multiple days) --- full breeding garb in early Oct suits vega molt scehdule --- deep pink legs, dark eye, long slender bill all suit vega over other hybrids / asian considerations

Note primary pattern - lack of bayonets & very short extension of black up P8-P7..... Black on P5 seems reasonably more common in NE part of L.a.argentatus range?
