Pectoral Robust-Stingless Bee (Scaptotrigona pectoralis)Observer
arethusaDescription
Dozens of these stingless bees flew into my hair, into my clothing, and onto my face while I unpacked. Desperate to get rid of them, I plucked the bees from my hair (each buzzing furiously) and tried to get them back outside. This only seemed to irritate them, and some began to bite my skin.
I think it must've been some kind of fragrance in my hair (shampoo, perhaps) which attracted them, so the next day I took a shower and wasn't bothered by them again.
