Dead kudzu with mantis oothecae. I have a separate observation for the ootheca. I remember walking past this same fence and snapping pictures of adult mantids with bright green kudzu.

I've posted this exact same gilled polypore on this same log at the end of the Three Oaks Trail at The Ridge Nature Area at least once before, maybe more. I thought the way it had changed over time was interesting, especially the moss growing on it.

Many fallen trees or logs with lots and lots of fungi at Cochran Mill Park. Not always possible to get underside pictures unfortunately. Or to get clear pictures without breaking a piece off (not something I'd do in purpose.) This piece had fallen on the ground next to the log (before I got there, not because of my poking around.)
