Single male chestnut weaver was present for approximately two weeks at the site, and attempted building a few nests. This was the first sighting of the bird at the locality. Subsequently many bird listers observed (twitched) the bird before it disappeared.

Inflorescence mostly 50-100cm, a few around 120 cm.
In peak flower, and around 10% of plants already in fruit.
Plants appear solitary with no offsets observed.

Resembles a very short Euphorbia pentagonia, but seems to stay short in growth. Also around seven segments. Undecided between E. ferox and E. heptagonia.
