Calmly sat on lookout about 30m from the nest tree (waiting for mate to bring prey?) for 4 hours, perhaps chuckling at humans' heroic, but ultimately ineffective efforts to bag and ring her chick. No overt sign of aggression towards climber, perhaps because this was to have been her 7th ringed chick?

Subadult female found in distressed state in Park Rynie driveway. Apparently starving. Rested overnight and force fed early AM by kindly experienced wildlife nurse. Perked considerably by the time pics taken. Transported to Camperdown Raptor Rescue Centre. Prognosis good for re-release in her territory
