Eastern Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)Observer

poor thing. no injuries, but the cheek touching the ground had been eaten. didn’t smell and was rigid, so must have been freshly deceased. fur was still soft. buried them in the backyard and washed my hands. didn’t seem malnourished, so maybe they were old/sick?
