Although they look like they are growing from the ground, these flowers fell off a tree. Every morning there would be a bunch on the ground under the tree.

Found him floating in the ocean. Put my hand near it and he climbed on to my palm, so I swam it back to our boat. He spent the next hour or so drying himself off on the shirt then when we got back to the marina he flew away.

Was hiking up on a peak and sat down and this came out. Wasn’t frightened at all and climbed right onto my bag. Shortly after 5 smaller ones also came out and began exploring my backpack. They seemed to like the shade. The largest was about 2 -3 inches long. Curious to know what species it is as it’s such an interesting looking creature.

After finishing a dive st Gordo Banks she swam up to us and tried to climb onto one of the divers. Her feathers looked really waterlogged and a mess. After we got back on the boat she tried a few times to fly and it was apparent she was injured and could not fly. She then tried to climb onto the ladder of the boat. We decided to lift her up by placing a crate under the water and bring her onto the boat. She was able to walk ok once onboard. She then sat in the sun for a bit and cleaned her feathers but still couldn’t fly. We put a dish of fresh water near her and let her relax in a corner she found. She stayed on the boat with us for about 4 hours and was still unable to fly so we thought it best to bring her back to the marina with us as we figured it was better than leaving her floating in the middle of the ocean. By the time we got back to the marina she seemed in much better shape and her feathers looked better but she was still unable to fly.

Seen in Puerto Adolfo López Mateo, Baja California Sur inside a house. Nearby there looked to be 2 shedded exoskeletons - or maybe other spiders that had been trapped in the web? Was about 3 inches across and just hung out on the wall all night. The glowing spot in the center is the reflection from the camera flash on what Im guessing is one of the eyes? But I’m definitely no expert when it comes to spiders! Was thinking maybe a huntsman spider?
