Violet-toothed polypore was growing on a dead tree along side Stereum. Both species covered about equals amount of space on the tree. There were Black Cherry trees(Prunus serotina) growing around it. The weather was damp and full cloud coverage.

This fungi was growing underneath a quince tree with rotten leaves and mulch scattered around. The day was cloudy and damp. There were small sections of brittlestems scattered around. The pictures above depict different clusters underneath the quince trees.

When I found this mushroom the ground was saturated with water. It had just rained the previous day. The log it was growing on was to decayed to identify what kind of hard wood it was. There was a section of Yellow Fairy Cups growing on each end of the log and in the the middle. I did not see any other fungi growing on the same log or around the log. The pictures above are taken from the center and the left end of the log.

Wood Duck (Aix sponsa)Observer

Above of two Wood ducks ( Aix sponsa) that landed near a wood duck box. It was a pair ( One male and one female) that flew in. They landed in some reeds and stayed near the small island. They did not swim with any other waterfowel but there were Mallards(Anas platyrhynchos) and Ruddy ducks (Oxyura jamaicensis). After 5 minutes the pair swam behind the island and did not reappear.

Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis)Observer

Above there are three pictures of the Ring Billed Gull. Two of the pictures depict the Gull flying above the lake. The other pictures depicts a sea gull resting on the lake. There were a number of gulls flying around. This gull was also interacting with with Mallards ( Anas platyrhynchos) and Ruddy Ducks (Oxyura jamaicensis). The gulls were seen staying near the other waterfowels when they were on the water.

The ducks were on the water around 9:00 am. It started of foggy and slowly started to lift. Was swimming with a female mallard. Also spotted with Ruddy Duck(Oxyura jamaicensis).

This Black Cherry was growing just on the outside of a small pond. The tree also had some Red Maples(Acer rubrum), Crabapple trees (Malus coronaria), and Apple trees Malus pumila) growing close by. There were a few berries left still attached to the tree in middle.

The general area of were it was growing was near a meadow. There was flowering plants from the meadow still growing around there. There were two other Spotted Hawthorne around but were spread a good distance apart.

The tree itself had seeds on it. It grew in a sort of wetland environment with spotted touch me nots and goldenrod. it's also had a red maple growing near it. The tree itself looks young.
