What
Genus StatiraObserver
gldearmanDescription
Observed at white porch light.
Not sure which species this is. Based on comments on nearby observations, I'm leaning toward Statira dolera, but not with enough confidence to ID this individual more finely than genus without an expert's say so. Input appreciated.
What
Octagonal Casemaker Moth (Homaledra octagonella)Observer
gldearmanDescription
Found on the underside of a wild grape (Vitis sp.) leaf. Because this species is said to feed on lichen, I'm entering that as an "associated plant" rather than a "host plant."
I don't know if these pupate within their larval cases like bagworms do, so I don't know if this is a larva or a pupa.

What
Pissonotus binotatusObserver
gldearmanDescription
Several individuals observed on some kind of aster in an overgrown pasture. I am not certain that these photos all represent the same individual. Host plant was probably camphorweed (Heterotheca subaxillaris); will update observation with that information if I find a photo of the plant to upload for positive ID.
Note stubby white wings identifying these as brachypterous adult females.
