The bird is located in the center of the photo. It had a light brown chest and grey/brown top feathers. It was smaller than the average mockingbird.

I think that this is a grape mahonia, but I'm not sure. The spiked leaves are partially turning brownish orange.

This hemlock tree is split into two near the base for its trunk. The tree has lost some of its larger branches within the past few years and is getting thinner.

Description

These two types of shelf fungi were found on a tree near a small pond. One is a reddish brown and has a wider fan and the other is cream with subtle stripes. They were both between 1 or 2 inches.

Description

The mockingbird was about 9 inches from head to tail feathers. It was found on a small tree near a building. The bird had a light grey/brown chest and a darker top. Its wings had a bright white section on the underside.
