Single dry fruiting beneath Douglas fir, vine maple and Western red cedar.
Gills: stained dark purple brown beneath veil from spore dispersal.
Harvested specimen.
Removed single gill and mounted on slide in 3% KOH.
MICROSCOPY:
Spores: large, Ellipsoid to elongated, most with a flattened truncate end on one side with visible germ pore. Brown in KOH.
Basidia: 4 sterigmate.
Dehydrated specimen and bagged for herbarium collection/genetic record.

Two mature fruiting bodies beneath Douglas fir and Western red cedar.
Stem: Pruinose/frosted.
Gills: coated in dense layer of pink spores.
Odor: none detected.
Harvested both specimens.
Removed a single gill from largest specimen and mounted in KOH on a glass slide.
MICROSCOPY:
Spores: angular, 5-6 sided. Medium sized.
Basidia: all basidia 4 sterigmate in this collection.
Dehydrated both specimens and bagged for herbarium collection/genetic record.

MICROSCOPY:
Removed a single gill and mounted in 3% KOH on a glass slide.
Gill edge: abundant with chain of “cystidia like” clavate cells.
Spores: ellipsoid to slightly pip shaped/curved. Smooth, medium sized.
Dehydrated both sections of cap and bagged for herbarium collection/genetic record.

Basidia: both 4 and 2 sterigmate analyzed/photographed.
Lamellar trama: abundant globose cells.

Cap: peachy tones/orange/yellowish.

Spores: ellipsoid, with slightly curved tips, medium sized.
