Description

I was walking through a cycling park in Weston, FL and I passed by a lake surrounded with tall trees that had these patches of lychen growing on them. Description

Small ghost crab found digging in the sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach this summer. Measuring around 10 cm with light yellow, beige and white shell. This crab was found almost touching the ocean.

Description

Snail found on a hike through a forested area of Orlando, FL. It was found near a stream where the plants are always a little moist. It measured around 5 cm, had light and dark brown shell and ridges.

Description

Multiple carps found in a pond located in a mangrove in Cooper City, FL. Typical carps and amur carps cohabitated this pond and most of them were measured at around 40 cm. They exhibited either a silver brownish color or white with orange splotches.

Description

This plant was found in a cycling park in Weston, FL. I was walking around a lake and went through some heavy greenery and found this fern next to some trees. It was pretty long measuring around a foot and a half, with long and thin green leaves that come to a point at the end. Vibrant orange flower around 3 inches in diameter with petals that come to a tapered end. Leaves are large, dark green and rough in texture. This organism was found in the woods of a cycling park in Weston, FL.

Description

Pink one-inch flower with puffy petals that make it look like a powderpuff. It has tiny white polyps at the end of its petals and a dark brown stem.
