What
Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes)Observer
kwgagelDescription
Observed in the parking lot of the Shipyard and Titanic Rock formations near Tumbler Ridge, BC, Canada.
No one had seen a fox all day. We'd finished our hike and were eating our lunches. I dropped a container of nuts which spilt out.
I picked it up, turned and this vixen was creeping up to get the spilt food.
Clearly habituated to people and used to being fed. It must have been waiting in hiding till the sound of a dropping container alerted it to come out and check.
What
Hoary Marmot (Marmota caligata)Observer
kwgagelDescription
Marmot. Took me a few seconds to see what was there. At first I couldn't tell. It looked like a log because it was perfectly still. Finally I decided I needed to take a picture, zoom in and check it. Turned out it was fury. I tried taking a step closer for another picture then it surried off.
