Description

Brought in to a house by a domestic cat, rescued and released under cover on adjacent boulder beach. Small population is persisting here at Waharau - sometimes observed between high tide line and shoreline vegetation.

Description

Self sown seedlings within 5 metres of a 20 year old planting of Chamaedorea, including C woodsoniana, C microspadix, and C cataractum. Most likely these are C microspadix. Will leave them to flower/fruit then turn them into herbarium specimens to record the naturalisation. Growing in shade of bananas and Livistona australis and Cyathea medullaris beside a small stream.
