The following data were collected by Dr. Elena West’s University of Minnesota undergraduate class, “Field Methods in Research and Conservation of Vertebrate Populations”. On April 12, 2024 four groups of 6 or 7 students new to mussel survey work conducted timed searches in water 1-3 feet deep using viewing scopes (5 gallon bucket with clear, plexiglass bottom), and ¼ meter quadrat samples.
The following people assisted with collecting these data: Addie Britton, Aidan Tonidandel, Allie Matney, Amaya Thomas, Annabeth Johnson, Ava Brandewie, Brian Whelan, Brittany Macdonald, Connor Nelson, Cristian Hernandez, Emily Petersen, Ethan Haefner, Evelyn Bartsch, Isabelle Anderson, Jack Vannurden, Jacob Wilson, James Bode, Jasper Harrington, Jayden Peterson, Jennifer Wood, Jonathan Wilson-Thieroff, Julia Grabowski, Nicole Wosick, Riley Ellarson, Robin Stumbo, William Klein, Mark Hove, Gracie Mertes, and Elena West.
