Description

A female black-chinned hummingbird built a nest in an oak tree on Los Madrones, in western Travis County, in late April. The bird was first observed on the nest on April 28; and it appears that the two eggs hatched on or about May 12. The young hummingbirds fledged on May 28 & 29.
