Description

This is a Computer Vision ID. I'm not certain that this is crown-of-thorns, but I'm not able to identify it. It's loaded with long strong spines and at this time of the year it's leafless.

Description

This big male mountain lion showed up recently on a game camera. but for about three months my various game cameras have been recording deer that appear to have claw wounds on their necks. So I think this lion has been around for at least that length of time.

I think this young buck has survived a mountain lion attempt at predation. I don't know what else could account for the wounds on his neck. Comments?

Description

My game cameras are off the trail and partially hidden in rocks or brush. So far as I can tell, I've never had a human who was walking by who noticed any of the cameras. But it seems to me that most of the animals in the area of the camera know of its presence. Here are three images of gray fox (different nights, but maybe the same fox--there are many fox in the area) that in the dead of a dark night sense the camera and want a closer look.
