Cross Orbweaver (Araneus diadematus)Observer
samevansDescription
Female, plausibly gravid, found on the underside of a collection of leaves behind her web. Web looked to be at least three days old, with two partially-consumed prey--one honey bee (Apis mellifera) and one severely-decomposed hymenopteran, possibly a vespoid wasp. Web included some non-capture architecture behind it, possibly structures built for defense ahead of constructing an egg sac.
