Description

The Flora of North America account for C. jacea has a detailed discussion of names for intermediate plants derived from hybridization between jacea and nigra. VASCAN uses C. Xmoncktonii but that’s not in the iNaturalist taxonomy and the above name is probably the best available match. The long rays, more pinkish colour and brown involucral bracts clearly show it is in the complex of intermediates but several other possible iNat names might be as correct as the on I applied (xpratensis, nigrescens, jacea pratensis)
