Long beaked grackle spotted at Utep. Close resemblance toward crows. Black feather distinguishes its species. Most likely feeding at the time encounter, I notice the bird was using its long beak to poke through the long grass.

Very unusual type of large fly with extremely long legs. Found in the boonies at the edge of New Mexico & Texas. Has a sort of a rainbow transparent colored wings the size of its body that expand outwards. Very long legs, and seems to be attracted to light from my phone and feeds off smaller insects.
