Hardhead (Mylopharodon conocephalus)Observer
spow9781Description
2 captured while fly fishing. Both were ~14 inches long and appeared to have multiple external parasites attached. The frenum connecting the upper lip to the snout was distinctly visible. I have heard reports and seen photos of this species being caught by anglers downstream of this location. The most common minnows found in this location is Sacramento pikeminnow which are occasionally captured and frequently observed.
